Janet Sullivan Will Seek HD71 Seat In Tulsa

Republican Janet Sullivan, a lifelong native of Tulsa, today announced her candidacy in House District 71, which includes portions of midtown and south Tulsa.

She is the ex-wife of Dan Sullivan, who resigned the seat to become chief of the Grand River Dam Authority.

When asked why she is running, she replied, "It's time we have a Republican who will fight for true, conservative values in our State Legislature. And that means lower taxes all Oklahomans, including the elimination of the state income tax and halting the rising property taxes of our senior citizens."

Sullivan, a former campaign staffer for former Senator Don Nickles and then-Congressman Tom Coburn, has been active with the local Republican Party and civic groups for the past 25 years.
