Organized Labor, Democrats After Costello

No longer comforted by "their man" as labor commissioner, organized labor, backed by Democrats, is after Republican Mark Costello.

They've organized demonstrations, as The Oklahoman's Michael McNutt reports:

"A group of union members said Monday they have no confidence in state Labor Commissioner Mark Costello while teachers, state employees and members of the Oklahoma Democratic Party called on the Republican official to step down immediately.

"About 75, many carrying signs and chanting 'Costello must go!,' picketed for about 30 minutes outside the Labor Department's office a few blocks north of the state Capitol."

(Costello defeated incumbent Democrat Lloyd Fields last November.)
