Eagle Forum Honors George Faught

Rep. George Faught (R-Muskogee) was presented the Eagle Award by Phyllis Schlafly, founder and president of Eagle Forum, at a banquet Friday night in Oklahoma City.

The award honors conservative leaders for their work and determination on conservative issues.

Faught was recognized, in particular, for his measure that would have banned destructive embryonic stem-cell research in the state of Oklahoma.

During his tenure in the House, Faught has authored or co-authored dozens of pieces of legislation, including pro-life and pro-family measures, Voter ID and English Official Language bills, legislation aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration, and halting fee increases by state boards and agencies without legislative approval.
