Dorman, Justice Honored By 4-H

Rep. Joe Dorman, Senator Ron Justice and Stillwater resident Terry Nelson were recipients of the 2011 Oklahoma 4-H Alumni Recognition Award in Stillwater at the annual 4-H Round-up held on the campus of Oklahoma State University.

Dorman, a former 4-H member in Grady County and current member of the 4-H Foundation Board, said he was honored by the award.

“I really enjoyed 4-H as a young man and it helped shape many of my life skills today, including helping me become a legislator,” Dorman (D-Rush Springs) said. “I am honored to receive this award and proud to continue to serve such an organization, which impacts some of the best young Oklahomans out there.”

Nelson is a retired extension agent who currently dedicates volunteer time to 4-H shooting sports. Justice (R-Chickasha) retired as an extension agent in Grady County, in addition to serving in a number of locations around Oklahoma and Kansas. The award is given annually to former 4-H members who contribute to assist and promote the program.
