Watching History Sometimes Hurts

Watching history sometimes hurts, as in last night's 121-112 win by the Dallas Mavericks over the Thunder in Dallas.

Dirk Nowitzki, 7-foot-whatever Dallas star and Germany native, amazed all by scoring a game-high 48 points and sank 24 of 24 free throws to set a new playoff record.

Nowitzki's historic effort overshadowed the Thunder's Kevin Durant, who slammed 40 points and gave Dallas defenders as much grief as Nowitzki did Durant and his teammates.
