Superintendent Jobs Cash Cows For Hundreds

Data compiled by Rep. David Dank and analyzed by Patrick B. McGuigan and Stacy Martin of CapitolBeatOK show that 202 public school superintendents are paid more than $100,000 a year.

Of that 202, 22 make more than $147,000, the salary of Oklahoma’s governor.

The information is certain to become fodder in the continuing arguments over school funding and what many reformers view as the excessive, and wasteful, salaries paid school administrators.
