Kern Apologizes On House Floor, Reprimanded

Rep. Sally Kern has apologized, again, for remarks made on the House floor during debate last week and accepted a reprimand.

This time, Kern apologized to the House while in session.

The House subsequently voted to reprimand Kern for the remarks.

House Speaker Kris Steele said, “Rep. Kern understands the harm caused by her comments and has apologized for making those comments in a genuine, heartfelt way. She knows her words were wrong and will never be forgotten, but she has done the right thing by apologizing and accepting this necessary reprimand.”
