Pinnell: GOP Has Successful Fundraising Quarter

Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman Matt Pinnell announced today the completion of one of its most successful fundraising quarters in Party history.

The first quarter of 2011 was the strongest first quarter in a non-election year that the Party has had in 16 years.

The OKGOP brought in over $187,000 from donors in 71 counties.

"It takes two things to win elections: money and everything else," said Pinnell. "We are on the cusp of one of the most critical national elections in our country's history, and Obama's one-billion-dollar campaign machine will be ready. Every dollar we can raise now---from $5 to $5,000---will put us in a better financial position to fund our candidates and our party building activities during the 2012 cycle.

"The breadth of financial support for the OKGOP highlights the fact that the Republican Party has become the Party of choice in Oklahoma. Our average donation of $192.74 shows that hard-working Oklahomans across this state support our vision of a strong grassroots-centered State Party operation and see the OKGOP as their voice in state government," concluded Pinnell.
