Lankford: Find Solutions, Then Go Home

In office barely three months, Congressman James Lankford is becoming known as the anti-politician, a member of a freshman Republican class in Congress who don't look too far down the political road.

The latest example comes in an article by the Tulsa World's Jim Myers in Washington:

"I don't come from a political background," Lankford, a former Christian youth camp director said in a hallway interview immediately following a press conference.

"I didn't come to do politics and posturing and press conferences."

Without specifically addressing the possibility voiced by others that the (Republican budget cut) plan might end political careers prematurely, Lankford added that he came to find solutions and then go home.
