Boren Opposes GOP Budget Bill

From The Oklahoman ~ House Republicans pushed through a budget on Friday that would dramatically reshape Medicare and Medicaid and save nearly $6 trillion over the next 10 years by cutting projected spending on most government functions besides defense.

The GOP budget passed 235 to 193; no Democrats voted for it, while only four Republicans opposed it. Reps. Tom Cole, R-Moore; James Lankford, R-Oklahoma City; Frank Lucas, R-Cheyenne; and John Sullivan, R-Tulsa, voted for it. Rep. Dan Boren, D-Muskogee, voted against it.
