Boren Event Draws 1,000 In Bryan County

Congressman Dan Boren was joined by over 1,000 of his "closest friends in Bryan County" last week for a rally and BBQ dinner in Durant that he hosted to show his appreciation to the voters of southeastern Oklahoma.

Boren was joined at the event by his wife, Andrea, as well as his father, OU President David Boren, former Governor George Nigh, Tribal Chief Gregory Pyle, and Tribal Governor Bill Anoatubby.

Boren thanked those in the crowd for their support in last November’s election.

Following the event Boren said, "Andrea and I have been blessed to have so many great friends. We have hosted the Boren BBQ in the past and have never received such an outpouring of support. This event was to show our appreciation and commitment to our constituents."
