Doak Eyes Grand Lake Marina Snow Damage

From The Tulsa World In Langley ~ The boots-on-the-ground approach of the Oklahoma Insurance Department was a welcome sight for Tom Benton on Thursday.

The marine surveyor has witnessed first-hand the fiscal and emotional hurt February’s heavy snowfall delivered to marina operators and boat owners at Grand Lake.

“We’ve never had proactivity in the Insurance Department,” said Benton, who owns Marine Damage Consultants in nearby Ketchum. “He (new Insurance Commissioner John Doak) is trying to be proactive, and I appreciate that."
