Barresi Eliminates Link To Facebook Page

Schools Superintendent Janet Barresi has eliminated a link to her Facebook page on the state Education Department's website after a Democratic legislator complained about it.

Rep. Ed Cannaday, D-Porum, issued a news release saying he would file a complaint with the Ethics Commission over the Republican Barresi's website.

He said he was concerned her Facebook page links to her personal website, which seeks political contributions.

Damon Gardenhire, Barresi's spokesman, said the link was “simple human error” and it has been corrected.

“A phone call would have been nice; he chose to do a news release,” Gardenhire said
