Grau Joins Oklahoma City Law Firm

The Oklahoma City law firm of Cheek & Falcone PLLC announced that Rep. Randy Grau (R-Edmond) has joined the firm as an Of Counsel attorney.

“We are pleased to have Randy join our firm,” said managing partner David Cheek. “He is an experienced attorney who has a reputation for hard work and meeting the needs of clients. His diverse experience in law, government and business will be a benefit to our current and future clients.”

Prior to joining Cheek & Falcone, Grau served as a Deputy County Commissioner for Oklahoma County Commissioner Ray Vaughn. He assisted in the administration and development of public policy for the County and lead the effort to establish the first Oklahoma County road assessment district, which helped citizens rebuild a private road and bring it to County standards. He also assisted in the administration of the County-owned Tinker Aerospace Complex, which is the former General Motors Plant, and he helped in structuring the bond issue to obtain the facility for use by the Air Force.
Before working in public service, Grau was a defense attorney with one of Oklahoma’s largest firms where he concentrated in the areas of insurance and business litigation as well as health care and corporate structuring.

In 2006, Grau won the statewide Oklahoma Bar Association Earl Sneed Award for outstanding contribution to continuing legal education. In 2007, the OBA selected Grau to represent Oklahoma as a delegate to the Czech Republic to encourage civic education and individual participation in government. He frequently speaks at seminars and writes articles regarding legal ethics and professionalism. Grau served two terms as a member of the OBA Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors, and he volunteers monthly for Oklahoma Lawyers for Children where he represents abused and neglected children.
