Boren Chides Democratic House Leadership

Congressman Dan Boren today chided the House Democratic Leadership’s decision to reject the tax proposal that has been discussed in recent days:

"I am extremely displeased that the Democratic Leadership has chosen to ignore the will of the American people and not bring the tax proposal up for a vote. A clear majority of the U.S. House of Representatives supports this plan. We are allowing the liberal wing of the Democratic Caucus to hold these critically needed tax cuts hostage. It is long past time to get this deal done and get our economy moving again. Unfortunately, my colleagues are either not listening to what the voters are saying, or they are not interested in doing what is best for the American economy."
