Barresi Cites Need For Education Audit

The Oklahoman's Megan Rolland reports that, "State schools Superintendent-elect Janet Barresi said an unaccounted-for $16 million in stimulus funds from Gov. Brad Henry's office 'underscores the need' for a financial and performance audit of the Education Department.

“'From the outside looking in, my impression right now is there seems to be a lot of finger-pointing on whose responsibility this is,' Barresi said, adding that she won't have all the facts until she takes office Jan. 10."
