Obama's Bleak 2012 Electoral Map

From Newsmax ~ Republicans’ landslide win in the mid-term elections doesn’t just reverse the makeup of the House, it signals big danger for President Barack Obama’s re-election effort in 2012.

His campaign will more likely resemble the political trench warfare of the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections rather than his more expansive strategy of 2008, Politico reports.

In last week’s elections, the traditionally conservative states of Virginia, North Carolina and Indiana turned back to supporting Republicans after going for Obama in 2008. And more worrisome for the Democrats, the GOP made inroads in the Rust Belt and Midwest too. “If Obama holds the Kerry states and carries only the states in which Democrats prevailed in 2010, he loses,” says Democratic consultant Paul Begala.
