Marcus Dupree: The Best That Never Was

OU football fans may recall his marvelous play for the University of Oklahoma football team in 1982, and then, his mysterious refusal to return, a move that ended his march to what should have been a lucrative career in the NFL.

He's Marcus Dupree and tonight at 7 p.m., ESPN chronicles his decision in The Best That Never Was.

Today, Dupree drives a truck in Mississippi and regrets his decision: "I'm still an Oklahoma guy. I wish I had stayed those last three years and won three national championships. It's the only thing I regret not doing. I should have listened to my mom."
