Fallin To Retain Oscar Jackson In Cabinet

Governor-elect Mary Fallin announced today that Secretary of Human Resources and Administration Oscar Jackson will remain in that position in the Fallin administration.

He will also retain his post as administrator of the Office of Personnel Management.

“Oscar has served his state well as cabinet secretary and OPM administrator in three different administrations, and I’m happy to give him the opportunity to serve in a fourth,” said Fallin. “He is a skilled and dedicated professional who will serve as an important advocate and representative for our public employees.”

Jackson was named Administrator of the Office of Personnel Management and Cabinet Secretary of Human Resources in June, 1991 by Governor David Walters. In January, 1995, Governor Frank Keating reappointed him to both positions. In January, 2003, Governor Brad Henry continued Jackson's appointment as OPM Administrator; and in February, 2003, his Cabinet Secretary role was expanded to include Human Resources and Administration.
