Lankford Tops Million Dollar Mark

James Lankford has blasted past the million dollar mark in his quest to become the 5th District's new congressman, a new Federal Election Commission report shows.

The report, filed today, shows political newcomer Lankford has raised $1,055,916, with $14,800 in larger, reportable donations arriving yesterday.

He has spent $912,412, leaving a cash balance of $144,000.

His opponent, Democrat Billy Coyle, reports he raised $27,521 in the last reporting period and $256,700 overall. He has spent $207,100 and has a little more than $50,000 on hand.
