Crazy Like A Fox: Network Tops Election News

Cable rules for election news, and Fox News rules when it comes to cable.

That’s the conclusion of a Politico/George Washington University poll.

The poll found that 81 percent of Americans watch cable channels for their election news, primarily Fox, CNN, and MSNBC. But Fox is the clear winner, with 42 percent of poll respondents saying it’s their main source of election news, compared with 30 percent for CNN and only 12 percent for MSNBC.

Conservative commentators also were ranked as the media personalities having the greatest positive impact on the country’s political debate. Bill O’Reilly took the top spot, with 49 percent of respondents rating him positively, Glenn Beck was second with 38 percent, and Rush Limbaugh was third with 36 percent.
