Oklahoma County Courthouse Without Power

The Oklahoma County Courthouse is closed this morning.

Construction crews renovating the heating and air-conditioning system, along with installing a fire suppression system in the historic courthouse, reported a major electrical malfunction this morning around 2:00 a.m.

O.G. & E. crews have been on the scene throughout the night and believe electricity will be restored to the Courthouse building some time this morning, but then they have to run a series of tests before the building can be opened for the judges and the public, a county statement said.

The plan is to open the building at 1:30 p.m. today.

Anyone who has court scheduled this morning should come to the Courthouse building at 1:30 p.m.
