Lankford Adds Two More Opponent Endorsements

James Lankford added two more endorsements of his candidacy today as former opponents Rick Flanigan and Harry Johnson joined Reps. Mike Thompson and Shane Jett in backing the political newcomer.

Lankford faces former Rep. Kevin Calvey in the runoff later this month. They are the survivors in a 7-way race in which Lankford came from behind to lead the favored Calvey when the votes were counted.

Lankford, former director of the Falls Creek Youth Camp, has never before sought office. Calvey, an attorney, served in the State House and sought the GOP nomination for Congress in 2006, losing in the primary.
