Johnny Roy Endorses Kevin Calvey

Former congressional candidate Dr. Johnny Roy today endorsed Kevin Calvey in the 5th Congressional District runoff.

Roy is the first of five GOP candidates who didn't make the runoff to endorse Calvey; four others endorsed Calvey's opponent, James Lankford.

Roy said he has known Calvey and his family for a number of years. Besides his sense of loyalty to that friendship, he said he feels Calvey is a capable and skillful individual, whose legislative experience should serve him well in Congress.

“I am honored to have Dr. Roy’s support,” Calvey said. “Dr. Roy ran a positive, principled campaign and has been a community leader in our area for years. I look forward to working with Dr. Roy as our campaign reaches out to conservatives across the district."
