Poll: Switzer Powerful, But So Is Edmondson

The McCarville Report Online's poll in the race for the Democratic nomination for governor indicates that a slight majority of those who voted believe Attorney General Drew Edmondson can withstand the boost Barry Switzer's endorsement of Lt. Governor Jari Askins has given her campaign.

Thirty-eight percent of the almost 200 votes cast sided with the strength of Switzer's endorsement helping Askins defeat Edmondson on Tuesday; 43 percent said Edmondson is too strong, while 18 percent said they don't know if the endorsement will help push Askins over Edmondson.

A reminder that there's nothing scientific about TMRO's polls; online polls, straw polls and even some "scientific" polls can be manipulated.
