Laughlin Loans Treasurer Campaign $20,000

The Oklahoman's Michael McNutt has reviewed all the late filings at the Ethics Commission and reports that former Republican Senator Owen Laughlin has taken out a $20,000 loan from Stock Exchange Bank in Woodward to bolster his bid for the state treasurer's office.

Candidates are required to report contributions or loans daily through Tuesday's primaries.

Laughlin also reported receiving a $500 contribution, which will put the money he's raised so far at $138,441.

Laughlin still trails state Rep. Ken Miller, R-Edmond, who reported Wednesday receiving $1,500 in contributions, putting his fundraising total so far at $345,679 in his campaign bid.
