Dank Challenges Opponent's 'False' Statements

An Independent candidate's allegations in the House District 85 race have incumbent Republican David Dank describing the claims as composed of "falsehoods, bogus numbers and inaccurate statements."

Dank confronts Dr. Edward Shadid's claims in an advertistment in the Oklahoma Gazette, the same place Shadid made the claims.

Dank, a reformer who is known for challenging the status quo, said Shadid's claim that he engages in "business in general" at the Capitol, is false, as is his claim that candidates "pay themselves back" for funds they spend on their campaigns. Dank notes that he has "escrowed every penny of my legislative salary from day one to fund a potential campaign to reform property taxes."
