Political Fundraisers Abound Today

Oklahoma City is awash today in political fundraisers.

Congresswoman Mary Fallin entertains Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Rep. Shane Jett hosts Barry Switzer and Senate candidate David Holt hosts donors at a downtown eatery.

Fallin's event to benefit her campaign for governor begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Nichols Hills home of Charlotte and John Richels, 1606 Camden Way, with Pawlenty as the guest. The two-term governor is mentioned as a possible candidate for president in 2012. He has endorsed Fallin in the race.

Jett, who seeks the GOP nomination for Congress in the 5th District, will greet donors at the Oklahoma History Center, Northeast 23rd and Lincoln, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with Switzer as the attraction.

Holt's fundraiser is from 5-7 p.m. at the Lunch Box, 413 West Sheridan. He seeks the norhwest Oklahoma City Senate seat being vacated by Senate President Pro Tem Glenn Coffee.
