5th District Runoff: You Vote Calvey, Lankford

With support from Facebook and Twitter users, congressional candidates James Lankford and Kevin Calvey roared into the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in The McCarville Report Online's unscientific poll in the 5th District Republican primary.

The poll asked which two of the seven candidates would make a runoff.

Lankford was ranked first as likely to make a runoff; 59 percent of the 385 votes cast in 12 hours were for him. Calvey was second, with 24 percent.

Mike Thompson had 8-1/2 percent.

Rick Flanigan, Shane Jett, Harry Johnson and Dr. Johnny Roy had only a few votes each.
