Politico: Edmondson Caught In Obamacare Battle
Politico places Attorney General Drew Edmondson among Democrats facing political heat in the battle over Obamacare.
The popular website reports that across the country, Democratic attorneys general face calls for them to join a GOP-driven legal action against the new law.
Of Edmondson, Politico writes, "Another Democratic attorney general running for governor, Oklahoma’s Drew Edmondson, hasn’t reached a decision on whether he’ll join the lawsuit. Already, he’s facing increasing pressure from both of his Republican opponents to sign on. State Sen. Randy Brogdon went as far as shepherding through passage of a measure that would let the state vote to opt out of the overhaul, virtually guaranteeing the issue will remain a focal point during the duration of the campaign.
“What does Drew Edmondson know that the people of Oklahoma and the attorneys general of 13 others states don’t?” GOP Rep. Mary Fallin, the GOP frontrunner in the race, said in a recent press release.
