Cantrell, Johnston Rejoin OERB's Board Of Directors
Oklahoma oilmen Mike Cantrell of Ada and Rob Johnston of Oklahoma City are the newest members of the board of directors of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. Cantrell's also the oldest member; he is a co-founder of OERB and served on the board from 1992 to 2003. Johnston served from 2003 to 2006; he was appointed by House Speaker Chris Benge. Cantrell is a past president of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and is chairman of the OIPA's Legislative Committee. The longtime political activist heads Cantrell Investments and Domestic Energy Producers Alliance, a nationwide group of oil and gas producers, royalty owners and trade associations that work to influence domestic oil and gas issues. Johnston is vice president and general manager of Apache Corporation's Central Region. He previously headed the company's operations in Argentina.
