New Law Honors Those Killed In Combat
Governor Henry has signed into law a bill that requires the governor to order flags on state property flown at half-staff on the day of the memorial service for Oklahomans killed in combat. Senator Jay Paul Gumm is the principal author of the new law. All state agencies, interested organizations, groups and individuals are authorized and requested to fly the flag at half-staff. The director of the Department of Central Services is charged with implementing the new law.
