GOP Convention Planners Reshuffle Events

UPDATE: The planned schedule will resume today, it was announced this morning. Republican National Convention planners may decide today how reshuffling of the event in light of Hurricane Gustav may impact the planned speeches of Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, U. S. Senator Tom Coburn and Congreswoman Mary Fallin.
Congressman Tom Cole's planned Monday night speech was scrapped along with most other convention events.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma's delegates mingled with those from other states. It's reported most delegates eagerly await the planned Wednesday night speech of John McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. News coverage, most of it critical, of her by the national television networks and liberal newspapers, appears to fuel a determination that she be given a rousing welcome.
In Oklahoma, blogger and media personality Ron Black seemed to speak for many when he wrote, "The hard Left isn't really upset that a 17 year-old girl is pregnant, nor are they upset that the mother of this 17 year-old is a Republican. They are upset that she has decided to keep her baby rather than have an abortion."
Republican official and blogger Steve Fair of Lawton is posting regularly from St. Paul and his posts include comments on Palin.
