Bob Morgan Dead At 73
Robert M. "Bob" Morgan, former Oklahoma National Guard adjutant general and chief of staff for former Governor David Boren, died Wednesday at 73. A funeral service for Morgan will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Wekwoka under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka. Burial with military honors will take place at Oakwood Cemetery south of Wewoka. Morgan was named adjutant general in 1978 by then-Governor Boren and also served under Governor George Nigh, holding the post until 1987. Morgan also was chief of staff for Boren, now president of the University of Oklahoma.
