In 2002, the election that disgraced former Audior & Inspector Jeff McMahan stole from Republican Gary Jones based on court testimony in McMahan's trial, Jones received 487,646 votes. In that same election, Democrat Brad Henry got 448,143 votes in the governor's race, about 39,500 less than Jones, and became governor.
