Surprise: Oklahoma Democrats Have An Extra Superdelegate
From www.tulsaworld.com ~ Oklahoma has one more "superdelegate" to this year's Democratic National Convention than anyone realized.
State Party Chairman Ivan Holmes confirmed Thursday that state Senate Co-President Pro Tem Mike Morgan qualifies as an unpledged delegate at large, a superdelegate, by virtue of his position in the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.
That gives Oklahoma 10 superdelegates, eight of whom are uncommitted.
Morgan, a three-term state senator from Stillwater, is vice chairman of the DLCC, a party organization devoted to electing Democrats to legislatures.
