Judge Delays McMahan Trial Date

A federal judge in Muskogee has postponed the criminal trial of Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan and his wife, Lori, until June 2nd. It had been scheduled to begin on March 3.

A federal grand jury indicted the McMahans last month on nine counts, including conspiracy, mail fraud and violating the Travel Act to commit bribery. They are accused of accepting improper trips and illegal campaign contributions from southeast Oklahoma abstract company owner Steve Phipps.
