Courtney Paris Big 12 Player Of The Year
The University of Oklahoma's Courtney Paris has been named Big 12 Player of the Year for the second straight season, the league announced Friday.
Paris was also named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.
Paris was joined on the league's first team by Andrea Riley of Oklahoma State and Texas A&M's Danielle Gant, a Putnam City West grad.
OU freshman Danielle Robinson earned Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors.
Ashley Paris and Robinson were All-Big 12 honorable mention selections, along with OSU's Danielle Green, Maria Cordero and Taylor Hardeman.
Courtney Paris lead the Big 12 in rebounding (14.9), field goal percentage (57.4) and blocks (3.36) and was its second-leading scorer (18.3) during the regular season. Her NCAA record for consecutive double-doubles stands at 89 games.
Paris was also named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.
