CNN's Blitzer Crusades Against Sarah Palin

CNN's Wolf Blitzer appears on a personal crusade to smear Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Today, he spent hour after hour returning to a story about Palin's 17-year-old daughter and suggesting her situation somehow means Palin is a flawed candidate.
While MSNBC and Fox News, for the most part, focused on Hurricane Gustav and the Republican convention in Minnesota, Blitzer returned again and again to Palin, repeating himself over and over and insisting that a bewildered floor reporter and guests discuss the issue.
Conservative Republican Bill Bennett told Blitzer the topic didn't deserve discussion on CNN, but Blitzer blew him off and continued to press the issue. Even hardcore Democrat James Carville indicated he didn't believe it worthy of discussion, but Blitzer again persisted.

Bill Bennett: McCain Should Embrace Coburn

Conservative icon Bill Bennett said tonight on CNN's Florida primary election coverage that Senator John McCain needs to build his conservative credentials and one way he can do that is by embracing Senator Tom Coburn and touting Coburn as a possible vice presidential running mate.
Bennett's comments came during a four-way conversation following McCain's Florida win and speculation that Rudy Giuliani will withdraw and endorse McCain. One analyst said some conservatives are likely to react negatively to that since Giuliani "is no conservative." Bennett then offered his thoughts on the Coburn connection; he added that McCain should take Coburn on the campaign trail with him.
Coburn recently endorsed McCain, much to the surprise (and consternation) of some.
