Lady Sooners Surge Into Elite Eight

OU's Lady Sooners basketball team surged into the "Elite Eight" of the NCAA tournament with a convincing win over Notre Dame Sunday night in overtime.

The Sooners played one of their most complete games of the year. Coach Sherri Coale said the play of center Abi Olajuwon and guard Nyeshia Stevenson helped seal the win. Stevenson sunk a 3-pointer and followed with two free throws to cement the victory, while Olajuwon scored 20 points in one of her best perfomances.
