Brogdon Plane Loses Engine, Lands Safely
From The Tulsa World ~ Sen. Randy Brogdon got a pretty good scare Thursday.
The Republican gubernatorial candidate boarded a private plane in Tulsa and headed to a campaign event in Woodward.
“About 15 minutes out, the left engine just quit,” said Brogdon, R-Owasso. “He (the pilot) had just had everything overhauled. Thank goodness there were two engines. We landed very safely.”
Brogdon said a repair was made to the plane.
“It was a little scary, but we are OK,” he said.
Brogdon and his party flew back to Tulsa later in the day. He was uncertain about the specifics of the plane but said it would seat six people.
