RNC Chairman Notes Shannon's Election

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus notes T. W. Shannon's "historic" election as House Speaker-Designate.

“On behalf of the Republican National Committee, I congratulate Oklahoma State Representative T.W. Shannon on his historic election as State House Speaker-Designate. Speaker-Designate Shannon will become the first African-American Speaker of the House in the state’s history, and, at age 34, he will take office as one of the nation’s youngest state house leaders.
