Fallin Sets Three Special Election Dates

Governor Fallin on Friday issued an executive order establishing the filing period and special elections to fill three legislative seats.

The seats are being vacated by Senate Minority Leader Andrew Rice, D-Oklahoma City, and House of Representatives Floor Leader Dan Sullivan, R-Tulsa. The third seat was held by Senator David Meyers of Ponca City, who died last week.

The filing period for all three special elections is December 5-7. The special primary election is February 14.

A special general election for both seats will be April 3.

The districts will be those adopted after the 2010 Census.
