Outgoing DHS Chairman Hits Lawmakers

Richard L. DeVaughn's last day as chairman of the Commission for Human Services was Tuesday. He was among several commissioners who appeared voluntarily before an ad-hoc legislative panel seeking answers to questions about agency operations following the deaths of children overseen by the agency.

"You are the one who throws the political slant," DeVaughn said during questioning by Rep. Richard Morrissette, D-Oklahoma City.
