Fallin Sets HD71, SD46 Special Election Dates

Governor Fallin on Monday set special election dates for two vacant seats in the Legislature.

Filing for House District 71 in Tulsa, and Senate District 46, in Oklahoma City, will be December 5-7, with primaries February 14th and general elections on April 3rd. If primaries are not required, the general election will be on February 14th.

Republican Dan Sullivan is vacating the House District  71 seat to become CEO of the Grand River Dam Authority in Vinita.

Democrat Andrew Rice is resigning his seat in Oklahoma City's Senate District 46 to move out of state in support of his wife's new job.
