State Revenues Show Double-Digit Growth

Oklahoma's economy came up roses last month, Treasurer Ken Miller said today.

Miller said gross revenue collections grew by double-digits.

Gross state collections for August were 15.2 percent higher than the same month a year ago, Miller said. 

Since July 1st, the start of this fiscal year, gross state collections have exceeded the previous year. Miller said ollections in June were 15.5 percent higher than for the same period a year ago and collections in July registered a 6.8 percent growth.

Miller said collections during the past 12 months total $10.37 billion, the highest level since July 2009 when 12-month collections totaled $10.4 billion.

Miller said other recent data signal a positive economic outlook.
