Fallin Names Carol Robison To OHCA Board

Governor Fallin today announced she has appointed Carol Robison of Oologah to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) Board.

OHCA oversees the purchase of health care benefits for Medicaid recipients and others who are dependent on the state for necessary medical care. The board oversees the authority and appoints an administrator to run the agency.

“The Oklahoma Health Care Authority Board plays an important role in our health care system by providing oversight of the management of our state Medicaid programs,” Fallin said. “As a former nurse and now as the chief executive of a health care staffing company, Carol Robison brings to the OHCA Board unique insight and experience in the health care industry. I know she will work hard to ensure the OHCA continues to deliver health care services in an efficient and effective manner.”

Robison is the chief executive officer of Robison Medical Resource Group, a temporary health care staffing company. She previously served as a staff nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center in Topeka, Kan., at St. John Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., and at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kan.

She was given the “New Business of the Year” award by the Oologah Chamber of Commerce, and was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Greater Tulsa Area Chamber of Commerce.

Robison holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Coffeyville Community College and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southern Nazarene University.

Robison will serve a four-year term and is replacing Sandra Langenkamp, whose term expired.
