Fallin Welcomes Perry, But No Endorsement Yet

Governor Fallin said Wednesday she's not yet ready to endorse anyone in the Republican presidential race, but she welcomes Texas Governor Rick Perry's entry into the race and said he'd be good for Oklahoma.

Fallin, in Washington to promote Oklahoma as a potential base for unmanned aerial vehicle research and flights, said Perry would be a strong advocate for issues important to Oklahoma, including oil and gas development.

She said Perry has fundraisers scheduled in Oklahoma later this month.

She said, “I'm not going to make a commitment right now” in the Republican presidential primary race, adding that there are had several credible candidates to take on President Barack Obama next year.
