Fallin Sets House District 1 Special Election Dates

Governor Fallin today set the dates for special elections in House of Representatives District 1.

The seat is vacant after Rep. Rusty Farley passed away suddenly in early July.

District 1 covers McCurtain County in Southeast Oklahoma.

The filing period for candidates will take place from August 22 to August 24. The primary election will be held November 8 and the general election held on February 14, 2012.

In the event that no primary election is required, the general election will instead be held on November 8, 2011.
