Hugs Project Honors Army, Air Guard Units

On July 9th at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City, the Blazing Sun Run for Freedom will take place and units of the Oklahoma Army and Air National Guard are being honored as part of the event.

The run will benefit The Hugs Project to continue sending care and support packages to troops serving in the Middle East.

An award has been given to recognize the 45th Infantry Brigade Command Team (IBCT), the Oklahoma Stabilization Teams (STT) and the 146th Air Support Operation Squadron (ASOS).

The Hugs Project began 7 years ago and is based at Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. Hugs or care packages are sent to troops serving in the Middle East.
